The truth is that at one time many of TD posters posted on Ajarn.com. It was at that time one of the few forums available for 'falangs' other than TV.

It was quickly realized that there were many 'falangs' interested in Thailand who did not have to teach and wanted Thailand information with a bit of humor.

Here at Teakdoor.com we attract everyone. Even you Roxy...

The meta tag "keywords' really hold little interest for the major SEs these days and sometimes can be overlooked, or unmaintained. Description tags and title tags are quite important though. Any of these phrases or "keywords" will, in fact, cost you dearly with some of the SEs if they appear only in your title or meta tags and not in your content. Of course as a Thailand focused forum occasionally some content in ajarn may end up being discussed here. Teakdoor freely acknowledges there are other Thai forums, unlike others out there...

I have read the forum, and it doesn't appear welcoming of teachers, yet it's configured to appeal to them. That's the paradox. I think we'd better leave this topic now as it seems to have gotton' some people a little hot under the collar.

My little brother was semi-pro ball player (pitcher) told me this story, about how when a home run was hit sometimes the hitter would run the bases with his left (inside) arm hung straight down at his side. This was a shot at the ptcher telling him he was weak.

Got to admit the tags were put in like nearly a year and a half ago, got to admit also when we changed software I didn't even bother to check to see if the tags followed us as they aint really relevant to a forum which is constantly changing.

They are just keywords for the search engines to spider, search engines have evolved quite a bit since then.
Plus I should add that we have a higher google ranking than ajarn does.

Ajarn has lower page rank cos they keep on changing meta and hyper tags. So IMHO, tags are essential to securing higher page rank.

Ajarn has a page rank of zero, I don't think it has anything to do with the tags.
