I never stand in the way of what kids want to learn and music is a great discipline.

My son plays piano and is very good and my girls are always drawing or doing something positive which I always try to promote.

I brought a set of electronic drums and you can play them as loud or as soft as you wish and still retain harmony and passion.

I would prefer a kid trying to learn a musical instrument living next door then someone who would wanted to poison me.

That's all good and well, and I would normally agree with you but...

If I hear another rendition of "Zombie by The Cranberries" performed by the school band next door I'm seriously considering leaping of Bayoke Sky.

    4. Living next door to Alice.
    5. Whole Lotta Love.

Thank fuk, I don't live next to you, or Kmart's advice would no doubt sound about right... (bring anything noisy back from China?)

Mr Wilson, any noise tonight? (my local dogs have been strangely silent since I started that thread yesterday - maybe they've been on DoggieWeb!)

Another music critic with no sense of humour. When is a piano or a violin anything like listening to someone try to learn to play the drums?

I had a drum pad, this rubber thingie, to use at home. Alternative: build a sound-proof shack for the kid.
