well my car is a rental, month by month.
The ideal would be daily, but we all know
    daily rental is more expensive.
Gett a good deal on a monthly rental wife you will always
have a new model, fresh and yet possible to trade in for a
new one on a monthly basis.

I would have to go for a modern common-rail diesel with particle filter of some sorts, capable of high milage, low cost maintenance, clean emmisions but lots of grunt under the hood for those long rides.

If your partner was a car............

    life would be great!

    as previous posters already said:

take a drive whenever YOU feel like it, and it's never the wrong time of the month.

you can lock her in the garage for a day or week at a time if you are getting bored with her.

if she gets too noisy, you can cure the problem by simply turning the ignition off.

you can choke her to get her going if she is a bit cold.

when the important bit gets worn out, you can get her resleeved if you haven't got an oversized piston.

if you bang her in the parking lot nobody is really gonna take too much notice.

if she blows a gasket you can just rip her head off and replace it!

    downside is:

you don't get to ride if you can't afford to maintain her.

older she gets the more you need to spend even though the ride quality deteriorates

can cost a fortune in panelbeating and paint to get older bodywork to look new again

of course, if she's a bee em then you have to pay OTHER people to service her coz your old spanner won't fit anymore!
    brrrzzzzt, brrrzzzt!
    beep!. ting, ting
    redirecting, please be patient..........:

    hello, insect!
    brrrzzzt, brrrzzzt..................

A Jaguar XK 150 Roadster, classy, big headlights, shiny bumpers, soft sleek body tones, small rear end. Topless if required. Doesn't quite match the acceleration of the younger models but hey, style never goes out of fashion!
