I tink you'll find that anyone devious enough to delete sms messages is probably devious enough to have a different phone and number for each boyfriend they have or to use payphones for any mischevous calls.

My missus don't even know how to send an sms never mind delete one. Every couple of months I check the phone and she has sent some blank messages to her sister that she didn't know she'd sent.
