Is Ant playing the 'victim' again ?
'bless.....
This was in the 'Issues Forums and Guidelines' thread until -- in a perfect example of exactly what I was referring to -- Milkman moved it. That whole thread is full of discussion of the Issues rules and implementation thereof. There was no reason to move it, especially not since the stated reason was that 'the last few posts were off topic'. It's just Milkman being a dense cnut as per usual.
Fact is that some of the mods abuse their privileges to persecute their own vendettas against posters they don't like -- modding the poster and not the posts.
And I'd like to know how you're supposed to 'PM moderator to discuss individual actions' in any event, considering that they and their actions are largely anonymous. Again using Milkman as the example, he has in fact expressely denied even being a mod in the past.
^Actually it wasn't.
I copied and pasted it yesterday from the Thaivisa rules webpage !
Question: has anyone ever been known to change a point of view, or opinion-to-which-they-are-entitled, as a result of debating something in 'Issues', or do they just leave the discussion when gainsayed logically.
I guess it's like an argument in a pub where one waits for the other person to shut up, so one can continue with one's dazzling rhetoric/2 cents worth.
Righto, very droll. I was referring to the thread not the 'rule' at any rate.No idea, but then that wasn't my point. The point is that with inmates such as Milkman running the asylum, racist crap and dribble is allowed to stand and his attention is focused on abusing his mod position to persecute a personal grudge he has with another poster(s). What I do know is that's certainly not conducive to any form of constructive debate.Question: has anyone ever been known to change a point of view, or opinion-to-which-they-are-entitled, as a result of debating something in 'Issues', or do they just leave the discussion when gainsayed logically.
Mind you I also need to add that there are, in my opinion, some very good mods in Issues. Most of them from what I can tell actually. This is a case of the bad apple, not the faulty barrel.

I still can't figure Milkie out. At times he posts quite intelligent points about politics or the economy . . . then he writes like a pre-adolescent retarded childOriginally Posted by AntRobertson
If there's an obtuse comment to be made several pages into a thread ('What's this thread about?'; 'I don't understand?'), a foul-mouthed, venomous and petulant, tirade calling all and sundry 'cnuts' after he's had a few, or encouraging other posters to attack via family then Milkman's your man.Originally Posted by panama hat
Despite that however, when was the last time you saw a thread/posts from him MKP'ed.![]()
Same same. I mean, thats prolly the best thing about TD, that we can all "write like a pre-adolescent retarded child". When I first registered, all this moronism was too much for me, and I just stuck to reading the construction/farming sections.
But finaly, isnt it what we all love about TD ? Just posting the stupidest dumbest sh*t ? Look at BG, Missmiggins and the usual ranters/complainers/insulters/frustrated/ignorant cnuts .It's obvious these guys couldnt do it anywhere else ! They'd get kicked out ! I mean, DD's a hero here, providing a social service to these kind of loons. Here at last, they found the last shelter where they can let go of their pettiness, let go of their meaningless grudges. And not only can they do it, but they even are encouraged to do so (by some mods).
C'est la cour des miracles !
So well, after I've come to see TD for what it is, i.e. a social center for mentally disabled, I just now love jumping in the soup dish with my dirty shoes too. It's a fucking zoo, come in the pit, be mental !
If you're still not sure it's a site for old senile farts with the drown syndrome, just check again the smileys we got...

No question TD is a place where members are given a near rule free moderation forum. Issues was set up to give members who wanted a rules based debate forum a place to go. As such moderation is separate and different from the main board. If Issues is to be what it was intended to be then moderation should follow the stated rules. Aside from moderation, there is a member responsibility to adhere to the rules. Understand it's difficult for members who have just jumped out of MKP to adjust their posting style but if they don't then mods need to apply the Issues rules to all regardless of who the poster is.Originally Posted by SunTzu

But it doesn't, or only selectively . . . and that is the point being raised hereOriginally Posted by Norton
