    Never happen.

I watched the entire program. Very well done with all sides articulating their points well.

Well worth the 25 mins to view.

^ it can't happen when one side is completely misguided and has no idea what Democracy means,

The reds seriously need to be educated, and start think by themselves,

    unlikely to happen though,

Well Lalida, if you enjoyed that you might also like to listen to this from Prachatai:

    ?????????????????????: ????????? "??????" ??? Kevin Hewison | ??????? ???????????????????

About the rise of Thaksin and how he is percieved. Pretty impartial.

Agreed with some of it as I watched it on the TV, but there is not enough education on politics and most people do not understand what Democracy is,, The Thai outlook and expectations of I want it and I want it now and I know better than you and I am also better than you.
The poor bastards will give the shit away, do nothing about corruption, even tho there was some talk of the corruption in the police, How did Toxin get so rich so fast or the same with the MP, they have no way to do anything about it and do not have the guts to do what is correct unless there is a bunch of them in a group to keep each other honest.
I know how submissive they are to anyone in a fucking uniform or with a title of authority, I am married to a university educated 50 year old Thai woman who believes that any official of this country is above taking a bribe.
As long as they listen to the HISO rich corrupt, grafting bastards and keep putting them in office they are just a bunch of stupid poor bastards with no chance of ever being anything else.

They touched on this subject and all agree with you. They also pointed out much more needs to be done to educate folks on the issue. They pointed out "democracy" has only really been in place since 1987 and will take more time to have citizens understand how it should function.

Talked about corruption in the police and corruption in politics. All agreed it was at the root of many of Thailand's problems. They also said corruption needed to be prosecuted for all no matter the politics.

Your opinion but it can be reversed. When I first set foot in Singapore, it was probably the most corrupt place on the planet. Now it ranks at the top or near the least corrupt of any nation in the world. It can be done if a government is determined to end corruption.

Will any of this ever happen? I don't know and can only speculate as you have.

Thailand is still at the bottom of modernization not to mention Democracy and without people seeing the country as the issue but individuals, Thailand will not be able to move forward an inch. Our country still have a long way to go before it can be totally democratic nor will it be easy but at least, we now have a true starting point.

You haven't reached any sort of democracy yet in any shape or form, at present many of the Thai's want a convicted criminal who still hasn't been charged for murder yet, allowed to come back to Thailand, the bloke who is running this country now considers it quite alright to tow dirty foreigners out to sea and just leave them there, banana republic is about the best Thailand has ever had.

The way to educate the people is not thru mass and sometimes bloody protests, bunch of show shit and they didn't even understand what it was for except the 200 baht a day they were paid.
And because they didn't get shot or gassed or beaten up they think that is democracy.

First the yellow shirts,, now the Red shirts,, mobs of people shutting down the fucking country, protesting at foreign Embassy's,, thats MOB RULE, sure the fuck ain't Democracy.
If they want democracy then go and hold meetings,, like Khun Obama is doing calling them Town Hall meetings,, explain to the people what the issues are, what a candidate is promising, how to go and vote as you have made up your mind once you understand the issues,, and then when you get to the polls, vote as you have em listed, and quit selling your fucking votes.
Then if who you voted for does not do as promised, impeach is ass and get him out of there and elect another,, they will soon learn that if they say it they better mean it..
Used to be that way in the US, not any more tho.

What did they learn down in BKK for a week, how to run down the roads, plug up the commerce of the city, piss off a bunch of people, pour blood in the streets and think they were in the World of democracy??

Demonstration is fundamental to Democracy. Both your countries "Democracies" were founded and strengthened by civil demonstrations which continue to this day to take place in France and the US.

Now you have determined, by way of your superiority to the lazy, peasant, monkey Thais, that Thais are too stupid to have the right to practice what is fundamental to democracy in France and the US.

I'm sure the Thais are very sorry to have inconvenienced you both with their pointless, mob rule and costly demonstrations.

And we all know demonstrations in France and the US never are funded by supporters, filled with only well educated protesters demonstrating for just causes.

You just explained how most of the world that saw this shit feels about the Thai demonstrators, going off to show the world what pure and unadulterated ignorance can do.
Pumps their masters up and makes them look stupid, fuck of a way to teach political science to a bunch of folks that have no fucking idea whats actually going on.

Bunch out calling and demonstrating to bring back to power an asshole grafter that is up to his arm pits in corruption and is proven to have fucked them til they bled,, now they have and poured it out on the ground.
Look at the corruption on Swampy, and also on that Shinn Sat deal.

And then comparing them to a bunch of hippy demonstrators in the US and mobs in France that are given a free ride to a demonstration and their pix on national or world wide TV,, quite the gimmick.
But some did learn after they turned in their ID cards and then could not come home because of it and had to stay til their masters were willing to return the ID cards so they could go home,, sounds like a cluster fuck to me.
Being involved in the political aspects of a country is more than a bunch of people walking around the streets of a village making a bunch of noise and waving flags and then going to the polls and selling your vote to the highest bidder..
    IMHO

Lalida, whilst you have a nation of people believeing in black magic, lucky talismans and amulets, anal lucky alien beads, giant lucky sea monster eggs and idiots that think an amulet can protect them from knives and guns you really don't deserve a democracy, here's 2 idiots (Monk kills monk - Amulet Fails).

right, because it is very well known that protesters in France, or the UK, or the US are paid to participate in social protests

Protests in France were supporting real Democracy, not the joke we have witnessed here

you can't possibly compare the stupidity of those protests here with the ones we have in civilized Europe. Sorry, you are grasping at straws here.

no, they have been an inconvenience to all the tax paying Thai who have a job and need to be at work every morning to support themselves and their family without the need for a bribe to participate in some silly billionaire vendetta.

    Thanks for playing,
