If you had a site what would it be like?

Partly to help the new mangagement with some fresh ideas and partly to allow us to express what we'd really like to spend our time visiting.

I ask the quetsion........What's your ideal site like?

I'm sure dirtydog has had visions of hs own site for quite some time.

How different is it to what he origionally desired?

For myself, I enjoy the banter that could happen at the otter place but I'd like things to operate with a longer leash!

The posters I've always enjoyed most have either set up this site or have made themselves known here on day one. In my view the most interestng posters from a number of forums I've visited. A great start.

What else to make it click?

I like my football and other sports, dirtydog's collection of free downloads was always appreciated, the computer section for the intelligentsia to throw morsels to us less capable mortals has been a success on every forum I've seen.

Linkys......to your best porn sites, best jokes/fun sites, etc etc.

Is it possible to have an upload space where we can upload whole fucking programs for other posters (photoshop cs2 cap?)

I know it's not legal but...............................

Whatever we can do to sculpt this site to our needs will only help to secure a successful future without the shackles of corporate sponsorshp.

To my mind it would be just like this site Poolie. Bear in mind that this has not really even opened yet. We need everyones input as to what members want and encourage threads just like this mate. Well done for posting it.
There is a lot of tweaking and fiddling to be done over the coming weeks and months but I think we have the makings of an irreverent alternative to the sites that the membership will come from.

Basically its about having fun.

Posters who post angrily as though they expect to be flamed will be encouraged to calm down and just enjoy the ride.

Clearly there have to be limits to what is acceptable and what aint but I think that it wont be long before we find the happy medium.

There will be no dictatorial approach. No posts deleted without explanation as to why. Unless of course some fok is blatantly trying it on.

I cant speak for the dog but I think we are all like minded in wanting this site to succeed.

Common sense and nonsense rolled into one big bowl of pasta that everyone is invited to share.

Everyones suggestions are welcomed.

Sports and Porn. Good ideas both.

Sports is a must for the folks that enjoy discussing it.

Porn is good too but has to be done properly. Soft porn is ok. Gals with firecrackers up the sandwich should appear as a link. (IMO)

Links are great.

at some point in time i'm pretty sure management would like to $ee $ome return for their effort$ and perhaps it will cum to pass that some paying advertisers might MIND seeing Wally's willy and/or MtD jocstrap next to their box of cornflakes or on the same page sponsored by their kindergarden advert.. until that time though, we might get away with a lot of kinky stuff but with the knowledge that nothing is for ever.. none's to blame.. when it will happen new dawgs and new captains will rise to the call of the new young turks call to revolt

I actually think that posting that pic of DD's dick would boost ratings.

I honestly believe another site with similar mod rules to otters prohibiting swearing, threads on sex or women, and all of that other fun stuff which we all do in real life anyway, is not an easy business to get into.

If somebody opens a new restaurant 5 miles away from the place you usually go to, but is pretty much the same - except not as busy, then you'd probably go there once, then ask youself "why bother"?

However!, if a new place opens five miles away that has topless waitresses

, then you'd go there more....

dont worry we are not even thinking of getting schools to advertise here, why try to compete with ajarn when basically they have that market sown up already and know a million more times about schools and teaching than i or samwan does, this place is not competition for any teaching forums, this is more tourist and travelling and having a laugh forum, well mainly having a laugh at the moment

The way I see it our target audience is adult. Fun for grown ups. An irreverent site alternative to the other sites. I also think the dog was being sarcastic about advertisers being a few weeks away. Before we can approach prospective advertisers we have to have something to show them in terms of traffic. Google ads will produce some revenue but at this stage we have a lot of content to add yet and a great deal more tweaking to do.

Hmmm I guess you have to say it's OK after complaining about the origional scheme.

I seriously say it has to change. It's hard on the eyes and difficult to read. Maybe the color scheme is Ok but the colors need to be softer!!
