It was in the news here in Germany that a man accused of sexually abusing and killing an 8 year old child was sentenced to life for murder plus 12 years for sexual abuse plus 6 years for abuducting the child by a turkish court.

If it was not for the sad end of a child the story would be rather funny.

The girl was of turkish descent and after a short while the murderer was found to be turkish too. When he was identified he alredy had fled to Turkey.

His father in law was infuriated. He went to Turkey himself and hired private investigators to find the man. When the killer realized his father in law was after him he apparently pissed himself with fear and surrendered to police rather than face him.

During the trial he accused his father in law to be the actual villain. He had only helped to dispose of the body under threat by his father in law. But the evidence including genetic proof was quite clearly pointing at him alone.

He will now serve a life sentence in turkish jail. Maybe he regrets now his flight to Turkey. He could have done his jailtime in a much more comfortable german prison. I like it as it is now.
