later in the evenings, after the game shows, the soaps and the girly chat, they sometimes do have decent interviews, discussions, documentaries and human interest stories fronted by inquisitive, intelligent and informed presenters. fewer commercials too. for those who understand thai, or have a good translator to hand, they can be worth watching.

its not all flashing lights, jealousy fuelled soap characters and slapstick midgets

but tv is mainly for the masses, and the masses here seem to enjoy puerile shite, so thats what they mostly give them.

I guess I am the only one who kinda likes Thai TV? I enjoy how their TV shows are like the US's shows of the 50's 60's and 70's. Nice and simple. Stupid slapstick comedy.
I dont watch too much TV here in the US anymore mostly Documentaries and some Sci-Fi stuff as most US TV is shite! I find Thai TV to be more entertaining than 90% of the crap in the US.
My wife got me watching some lakorns. I think they are pretty funny she thinks there serious lol at least we both get enjoyment out of it.

I cant figure out why you would complain about the Thai news when the news everywhere else is just as bad?

I ditched the thai tv and got on the internet long time ago. Just everything can be had on the internet nowadays and it's FREE!

Sort of depends a lot on what you get here.

1: The TV is shit!
2: The internet is shit (TOT)
3: The telephone is shit (TOT)

I'd love to be abvle to get everything over the internet...but like I say, pretty much as everything here seems to revolve around a standard of SHIT!

I had a better internet connection in "Backward" China ten years ago than these idiots can provide!

One thing we can bank on, they will never be the "HUB" of anything here, or maybe they will, the hub of regression!
