Fighters are a waste of time I reckon. All the transporters etc are pretty necessary given our position and relationship to the Antartic bases, but what good is a few aged fighter jets going to do us even if we're attacked?

Besides, just like our Navy, anyone who did attack would be too tired after rowing all the way down there anyways!
