    Pandamonium

Has anyone been watching the local TV recently?
There has been, on EVERY news channel, in the mornings, constant coverage of this stupid baby panda from Chiang Mai - the Thais even go and watch it on CCTV!!!

I really hope it gets sick and dies, maybe (Kai Wat Yai 2009 - for fucks sake don't mention PIG FLU - that'll scupper the price of pork!) then maybe, just maybe, they might start to report a bit of "NEWS!"

There was a major accident up near us the other day, 7 people from my locale were killed, along with others from other provinces, however, the Thai News channels preferred to spend 20 minutes focusing on a "hairless rat that spends it's life chewing on bamboo - and probably will be incapable of even breeding"

Glad to see they have their priorities in order!

The media knows how to pull the peoples' strings. They don't want them to worry about the real world. Or learn!

apparently they'll be spending 60M on a temporary habitat for the damn panda. nothing against pandas but i'm sure the 60m can be put to better use.

60M for temporary accommodation? Be cheaper to put him up at the Oriental for a couple of months.

Should be enough for a full set of mirror tiles inside the den anyway, which should increase his bragging credentials with the girlie bears.

    Yes!
The government are indeed using this as a distraction, along with the "Southern Conflict" and that ridiculous temple dispute with Cambodia, so all the more reason to KILL THE PANDA, it will let them down terribly, imagine how they will try to save face over that one!

Cancel all the pre booked tours!

Kreng Jai goes out the window....death to the baby root guzzler!

See, it's simple, Thailand NEEDS some long holidays so that everyone can visit the Pandas, thus stimulating the tourist sector economy, and "VOILA" end of current recession, everyone is happy, PS- please buy a car too whilst on holiday...it may help! And don't forget "Homestay" (you know...where you stay with a Thai family for your holiday, and they go through your bags in search of valuables while you are on your budget day trips spending the compulsory 1000 Baht...to keep your world afloat!

Kill the Pandas - live, sell tickets, 1000 Baht a pop, then cook them and serve them up in the Chiang Mai Night safari restaurants, keeping in line with that "gifted" (special needs) politician suggested a year or so ago!

The Chinese and Singaporians will love it LA!

What! in their Ford Anglia "PANDA CAR!" Cook em too! In the famous words of Jack Warner "Evenin All" ..."He fell down the stairs me Lord", "Just say one word you BLACK B[at]ST[at]RD...and you'll be picking your teeth out of your sh[at]t, Evenin' all"

You can just picture them "hurtling" to the crime scene at 35 MPH...like something out of GTA!

"ALMOST" screeching round the corners in high pursuit! (due no doubt to the mixing of cross ply and radial tyres!) "Out of the way Missus Jones!...we've got Panda killers to apprehend you know!"
