    My thought as well.

I was in a job interview once, and I had a bad feeling about the company and the interviewer, too young and completely clueless about the industry, the typical opportunist poser, so I decided to go after him, it was hilarious.

He started to ask me all those stupid "HR" question, like "how do you see yourself in 5 years"

my answer: "what kind of stupid question is that ? why would I want to share this kind of confidence with a complete stranger ? it's too personal. Do you know where you will be in 5 years ? maybe I should just go. Or do you have meaningful questions ?"

The guy wouldn't let me leave for another hour. The company was completely stupid. They called me back for a second interview, but I was already hired by a better company, and I really liked their interviewer.

Never had an interview for a job - just always seem to be in the right place at the right time and been asked if I want to work for them .
Having read this thread I realise how lucky I have been.

Reading the above , and other posts , I feel sure that my progress around the world could have been traced by the high incidence of hospital admissions of HR persons with ripped out windpipes by an assailant using only teeth and fingernails !

^ Yep. (Bfly can't figure sh*t like that out.) I always answered "In five years, I'm going to be in charge of the whole company." I always got the job.

Silly behaviour during a job interview...

I see a pattern of silly, as in WTF as opposed to downright inappropriate.

In my teens I applied for the elevated position of a milkman. During the interview the managers secretary brought in two cups of tea and biscuits. I appreciated the gesture and while he was on the phone quaffed mine ... biscuits and all. A few seconds later the secretary returned and rebuked me for drinking her tea.
Didn't get the job ..... what a let off !

I knocked a can of coke all over the interviewers desk / work when I was being interviewed by Lincolne Scott in North Sydney.

I got the job along with 6 others, so didn't take it.

When the interviewer came in, I recoiled in horror, staggered back towards the window, rolled myself up in the curtains, and sobbed quietly.

maybe valid after 2 or 3 interview for a strategic high level position in management, which was definitely not the case here.

That question alone speaks volume about the interviewer, its naivety or unprofessionalism, it comes straight from a 3 hour crash course in HR recruiting

the salary level is not my decision, that's up to the human resources team, we just let them know which interviewees we'd like them to hire.
