Missy, you have posted about this and a similar problem in two threads now. You seem to be the ONLY poster on TD with this problem, no one else has mentioned it, yet you continue to post it as if there is a problem on the TD side.

You just want to whinge, it's fine with me, post away. On the other hand, for a resolution I suggest you look at your ISP and network connectivity.

^ Actually, I get the problem fairly frequently, FF. However, because I know that the problem is down to my shitty internet connection, I've never seen any reason to broadcast it here. What would I want DD to do? Come around and magically make my connection faster?

I get it often here in China, and it's ONLY teakdoor, all other sites but teakdoor will open (except Youtube which is currently banned). It's usually only for a period of a couple to a few minutes if that, I hit refresh and teakdoor connects again, but it's onkly the teakdoor site.

I must say TD is the slowest site that I visit - hands down. Bangkok - CSLoxinfo provider.

Edit in: Note that this is not all the time. Just when my connection speed is slow or very slow. Then acess to all sites is slower, but access to TD is near impossible.

Yes Missis, I get this a lot with TD and not with any other websites I visit. Have a weak connection but don't know why this should happen only with TD.

I find TD is one of the quickest sites I visit.

But, I use the same ISP as the site's admin, so it's prolly been optimised for us.

To everyone that says TD is really slow, could that be down to the pics? I can very rarely open my own website (or email, or admin & I'm not pissed off - really I'm not... ) Seemingly, it's down to the large number of too large pics we have (I asked here in the computer forum & our webmaster has since confirmed that) Could that be the reason it doesn't always work for those on a shit connection here (TD)?

Well it's good to know it's not just me, and November Rain, I don't think it is the pics, it is something with this site on it's own.

I can log on to many different sites with absolutely no problem, it is only here!

It will generally be down to the size of the content of the page, text aint a lot of kb, but 1 page is 20 avatars, so thats say 300kb per page, 10 pics will easily take it to a 2mb page, pics or banners on the forum and in sigs can add say another 300kb per page, these pages are really heavy.

    Foking Hell!
Nay, not my problem, but that looks like a typical Thai installation, a bit like the wires from their electricity posts and the telecommunication projects they design...do they have a two wire hook up to the Shin Satellite, (no earth) via a D-Com, and Safe-T-Cut...maybe with a good pair of binoculars you can see the link..or is it two empty bean cans on a string?

"we need the string to be pulled tight...dammit, tight!!!
