Govt knows where's Thaksin

By: BangkokPost.comPublished: 9/04/2009 at 06:28 PM The government knows which country fugitive former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra is taking cover, according to Deputy Interior Minister Thaworn Senneam.
But Thaksin could not be arrested because the country had not been cooperative with the Thai government, Mr Thaworn said on Thursday.

He said the government had sent a special envoy to negotiate with this country but it did not go well as expected.

The country could not be revealed yet, as the government wanted to work out the matter through diplomatic means.

It would be difficult for the government to block Thaksin's phone-ins because other people using the same signal would not be able to receive news and information, the deputy minister said.

He also urged the ousted prime minister not to widen the political conflict to avoid others outside the political ring.

Splendid. Meanwhile, back in the real foking world, Thailand exports are down mearly 50% and that situation needs addressing beyond buying votes at 200 baht each.

Is anybody gonna step up with some worthwhile plans or are they gonna continue chatting shit about where thaksin may or not be?

They're going to keep talking shit. Haven't you been following BoT and Govt economic news. They're certifiably insane. Thay have no plans beyond borrowing money and telling people it'll be all right next quarter. If you think they're ever going to pay any attention to as trivial a matter as the economy disappearing up it's own butt rather than concentrating on the really important stuff like the Thai version of where's wally and protecting the honour of boss you're sadly mistaken. Those gangsters couldnt give a damn about the economy, they're comfortably padded, why should they worry?

Thai diplomatic mission special envoy = Thai soldiers entering disputed area at Preah Vihear 4/4-09. Result = it did not go as well as expected.

Thais are experts in buttering somebody up when they desperately need/want some goodwill

And their relentless pursuit of justice, getting fugitives and criminals put behind bars, is world renowned.

It's not like murderers, drug lords, Army General traitors, Corrupt Police officers and instigators of kidnapping, civil disruption and malicious damage to the tune of hundreds of Billions of Baht, is roaming the streets of this wonderful country, I mean just look at the massive stubborn energy and Government resources being used to capture a, relative to murder and treason, small time criminal with an in Thai terms small 2 year prison sentence for aiding and abetting in a fraudulent property deal.

The Country is in a dire economic crisis export is down 50%, but all that is cast aside to get this Thailand's most notorious criminal brought to justice, it seems that no crime is to small for the "Abhishit" Governments full and undivided attention.
