Thread: Committing crimes abroad. Can you be penalized in another country?

If someone commits a crime in Asia to people in other non Asian countries (ie: mail fraud, phone harassment, lese majeste, etc.), will the person, if caught, be penalized by the country of the offender or the victims' country?

There are laws on sex crimes so that you can be charged in your home country as well as the country of offence, that is if you are from the UK or US anyway, I see you are in Pataya so I guess thats what your asking.

Like has been said, if you are a pom or a yank and you stick your willy in anything under 18 you are a had lad if they at home find out about it, and the reason I said anything is because there is so many fruits coming here to fuck the billion fruits we got here, that sex anymore for some is not A man and A woman, kinda like marriage in Mass. it can be anything.

Strangely, I'm the opposite. Anything in the UK over 18 looks like a beached whale, hence I didn't often give into their advances.

So much depends on circumstance. If you are really unlucky you could have to face justice in both countries.

Well my friend, I feel the same way about American women for the most part, And I mean women of European decent of coarse, we do have a fine mix of Orientals tho and some are stone fox.

Aside from sex crimes. Is there a statute of limitations based on distance? For a hypothetical example, if someone living in Asia did the old scam of telling someone in Australia they won a boat and all they must do is pay the tax but then all they receive is a tiny model boat, which country would prosecute the scammer if caught? If someone in Asia made libelous remarks about someone on the internet who lives in USA, which country would prosecute?
