I'd like to apologise to Americans in general for assuming they are all bigoted, humorless, gun crazy, etc. Obama being elected has shown how wrong I am. In mitigation I would like to add I have led a sheltered life and been influenced by reading posts by Blackgang, Texpat, Chitown.....
