    Shit, sorry I asked,
would appear that you lot have even less idea than me! The IP address it would appear straight forward, is unique, and assigned to you as you connect, by your IP provider. Each time you log in you will receive a unique IP address from your "host".
What I was merely asking was - a) is TD hosted locally - i.e. via a service provider in Thailand.
    b) Why I seem to get continually bumped if the connection is not active 100%

And now it seems like a free for all with IT people who knpw fuck all about the subject in the first place!

Do you all work at COM Plaza in Chiang Mai? ...it sounds like it!

Oh yes, I am running Windows for my convenience.

But no I have never used Outlook as a mail client and not used IE since Netscape was released which must have happened roughly at the same time as WIN95 got out.

Yes, that is what I have said all the time.

TD is hosted in the US but all ISP's do cache (save) web pages in order to cut
    down on international bandwidth usage.
You can therefore get a TD page from the ISP's local cache and that will usually
be much faster than if the page had been loaded from US.

Most likely because a cell tower assigns bandwidth based on usage.
When you are idling, that bandwidth is assigned to speach channels in the GSM net. You will get more bandwidth when you need it (when you start browsing again) but it can take some time for the cell tower to reassign it.

Mmm Filch, that's interesting, maybe worth a look!
Never thought of that before, would something like AVIRA find this sort of shit or not?

    Thank you!
at last you have made it clear, understand, appreciated.
So TD is from the US??? Well that's a big surprise! At least these fuckers here cannot shut you down!
Thanks for the info, it makes a bit of sense now!

All ISP's (not only in Thailand) keep connection logs for 6 month(?).
I suppose that you have signed up for that SIM card and the internet service on it so they will then know who had that IP and to which other IP it connected to at a certain time together with your name.
They don't keep data logs (the political comment) so it may be a bit difficult for them if you are only a bad boy once.
Do it a couple of times and it will be easy to pinpoint you.
A BAD political comment may make them block Thai access to TD so we should all be careful about what we write.
