That's awful! Sorry about Hana. Thanks for the heads up on this killer tree.
I'm sure there are a lot of other things that can kill humans and animals, and sometimes we aren't aware of them till they happen, unfortuntely.
    RIP.

Sorry to hear that Tex, pretty hard to lose a pet. Some people don't understand the grief it can cause particularly when it's under such circumstances (although clearly not the case on the evidence of those posting in this thread).

We lost a cat to poisoning (deliberate) and I was gutted about that.

Sorry to hear about Hana's death. She was a great little mutt. I liked her outlook. She was an independent one wasn't she. Pretty much ignored your "training" efforts and seemed only to relish and give affection. She was a good un and will be missed by all of us who knew her.

Get rid of the palms lest your other dog decide to fetch some of those nuts.

Condolences, watching a friend of 8 years die must've been hard.
3 of my dogs have recently expired in front of my eyes, 2 of them taking 2 hours after which ever toxin was administerd and the other 20 minutes, because I had to euthenaise the poor blighter.

Your dog has given all of us that weren't in the know, a heads up about the dangers of palm seeds to our pets and indeed kids...
