On more than one occasion I've found that Thai's in my village prefer 'denial' to reality and frequently blame events on Evil spirits. This is an account of the latest supernatural intervention . Now don't get me wrong, I'm quite fond of my wifes aunty, she's quite a fun person generally , you can always find her minding her own business , Horizontal in the Dirt at all the local events.

Last week a fair came to town, we were just leaving around 8pm because the kids had school the next day, when the aunty rolled up. She had been drinking low kow because she had been working in the rice fields, fair enough, she wanted us to share a beer with her but we declined and left. later that evening, approx midnight, the witching Hour, she set off home on her motorbike and was knocked off by Evil Spirits. She was a mess. A real mess, Luckily someone found her laying Horizontal in the Dirt and took her to Hospital, before she was ran over or buggered or something. She's had a monk or witch doctor round and a few family members to support her denial and to do a good luck ceromony to keep those 'Evil Spirits' away.

Un-firking-believable
