MM, I used to take milk thistle before, as you said preventative med. I also used to do liver flushes. Here's a recipe from Spa Resorts Samui (Guy and Toi have been there forever!). This is their diet for pre-fasting.
The Liver Flush recipe:
Into a blender add extra virgin olive oil- 2 tablespoons or up to a third of a cup, with fresh lemon juice-about 1-2 thirds cup, (grated) garlic 3-5 cloves, (grated) ginger 1-knob, cayenne pepper half gram & top up with freshly squeezed orange juice (I use grapefruit juice).
Avoid heavy proteins, white breads, cakes, sugar & other highly processed foods as well as coffee, alcohol & soft drinks. Plenty of vegetable & fruit juices are best. We suggest you eat and drink alkaline-forming foods such as: all fresh fruits, raw vegetables & juices, salad greens, sprouts, apple cider vinegar, dates, dried apricots, dried figs, grapefruit, melons, raisins, millet, molasses, lima beans and lentils.

I broke a leg once in a motorcycle accident. The biggest muscle became atrophied (I think that's the word). I bought a bicycle and rode it 20 miles every day. Turns out the bad leg got stronger than the good leg even though it was missing a muscle. But I never really recovered 100%, still have this little half-step thingie in my gait.
During this time I did a lot of library reading and I found tonnes of cases where studies showed that old muscles respond to exercise nearly as well as young muscles. It's true. We can get in shape again at any age. Street hiking is what I like to do. I can walk for days. Can't jog worth a shit tho. I find I'm a lot stronger physically at 64 than most guys I know at 40.
Not really a good stickman anymore to be honest, but a walking/bicycling fool I am.
I bought spandex and went to the gym for 3 months.
Got to many pinches on the buttocks to ever want to go back.
As per green comment many tx, will get a bike to fill some otherwise empty hours...
Yes we all have had a bike at some time in our life to fill empty hours.
Doc told me the road bike style was better cause your chest is in a flatter, more horizontal angle, makes breathing deeper. They say to adjust your seat height so your legs are fully extended as you pump (push). Yes, that's what everybody does. But why save your legs from stress if you want to build them up? Same goes for the notion a lighter bike is better, better for avoiding stress.
This also ensure you get the full range of motion to your legs and develop all the muscles fully while also more using oxygen by using more of the muscle. this willhelp your body develop better breathing and oxygenation of the blood delivering more of this important element to ALL parts of your body including your brain. Exercise clears the mind, reduces emotional stress and keeps hte body in tune.Originally Posted by Camel Toe
I have noticed a greater improvement in my knee strength when using clips in stead of free pedals as well. My knee is fucked up and locking it in the optimum position helps to strengthen it. When I am riding regular with full extension of the knee and feet locked in position I can even run, jump and am more flexible.
I think riding a bicycle and swiming would be all a person needs for complete body fitness. I may begin some intermittent weight training as well though.
I'm doing roller blading (fek, you have to go pretty fast or you wobble and fall; you go fast, hit a pothole and knees, elbows or hands get whacked. But it's fun. Think I could outpace a bear now. Not. I would rather skate, but the rinks are far away and expensive.) I absolutely love swimming, but not in the chlorine pools with the gits here -- athlete's foot and who knows what. They probably pee in the pool, too.
Suppose it.s also down to genetics as well ,my dad was a footballer and athlete so I have the same muscular body, even at 65!!! I weight train and run/bike every day so I am and feel very fit which in turn gives me a positive attitude to life I also drink many Singhas every night,
Recently my Blood Pressure staretd to rise, 160 over 95 (early hypertension) I found this Ayurvedic Supplement MUKTA -VATI , so took it for 1 month, Christ what a differance, BP now 115/60!!! I sleep better and as a bonus get easy erections, I sent some to my friend in UK who is on medication for high BP, it was 196/120 before treatment, now 130/80. he tried Muktavati without his prescription BP holding at 125/80, he is amazed,
IF ANYONE WANTS INFO ON THIS PRODUCT,PM ME
Thats what she is tryin to do
I'm 46 and don't feel old at all, except the morning after the night before, hence very infrequent nights before.
DD, you live in the tropics so go for a long walk with your dogs, go swimming (if in Pattaya then drive to Koh Chang) . . . do something.
Speaking of old . . . where is Blackgang? Hope he is ok, looks close to Hades on his blog
Yep, am just fine, thank you.
I moved back up to a moo ban in Phetchabun so my wife can drive 6 KM from her house to mine, and that way when i am down she can kind of take some care of me and fix my food when I am on oxy full time and I don't have to go around the stove, And I don't have to live around them noisy brain dead assholes in the village.
I am hooked up with a cell phone to internet now as they will not have my adsl in for a few more days,[3 to 7].
What is your blog address BG?
Don't sound good, any thoughts on how the death page should be layed out? Would you mind if we stuck heathen religions in there too much? Don't worry a nice big cross and a Jesus picture will be at the topOriginally Posted by blackgang
