anyone using an iPhone here ?

I am thinking of buying one, I know they look gay and it's from a crappy company, but after seeing one of my friend playing with one the other day, I got completely sold !!!

the touch screen navigation system is amazing, you can zoom, move etc... with the tip of your fingers, it's pretty impressive, never seen anything like that

it's also a computer, you can watch movies, browse a full page on the net like it was on a PC etc...

I am also thinking about the competitor, the Samsung Omnia, it's WinXP Mobile, so better software but apparently the hardware on Apple is better (wider screen, more resolution, bigger HD etc...)

anyone here with one of those girl tool ?

PS: yeah, I hate phones too and I have a POS Nokia 3310 I am very happy with, but the iPhone is quite a sensation when you see it, I want one !!!

^yeah, 20-25,000 baht is the norm. I just saw on the news that google is coming out with a similar model that looks even better, so I'd wait for that instead of buying from crappy Apple.

Don't buy one Butterfly. Given the kind of people you socialise with. Predominantly Ladyboys. You are most liked to be robbed, kicked in the nuts and a rough abused hairbrush shoved up your arse. All in the name of having your fancy iPhone, which you have been showing off to all in Cascade, your home away from home.

Ive had a few Win powered smartphones and theyre OK for a bit but the software can be a big tempremental. I had to keep restarting my phone pretty often as it would slow to a crawl. They didnt have a decent task manager built in to stop the apps running after you closed them.

HTC do a reasonable range of touch phones as well.

Does anyone know if you can buy HTC brand in Thailand ?

He has, and it fucks up all the time. He has to wait for the battery to drain before it'll reboot itself.

I wouldnt be surprised if HTC were trying to develop their own OS. They only used to be the supplier for the carriers to brand the phones. Now theyve moved into the branding of their own phones I'd guess the next step is the OS.

    Oh well!

Had one since Dec 2007. Still running the same version. Yes, people called me gay and all that other shit. Dont care about it. What I do care about is that it lets me (in my line of work) allow me to do anything fast. I am not just using it as a phone only. If I just needed a phone for work I would just buy A PHONE.

Meanwhile people got used to me having such a thing after being called a homo by those same pub dudes.

The world has changed and so have those non-believers who are now using my phone in the pub more than I do.

Its always like this: Dude, can I borrow your Iphone cause I saw this hot VDO clip on my office desk top today, but I have no computer access. Or Dude, whats the weather like in Leeds?

My point being is that its such an easy to use device that now I would not want to be without it!

None of my old phones such as Samsung I600, HTC Touch and O2 stealth would ever match this.

All in all, a great phone and not gay at all.

Had a look at the I-phone, HTC Touch Diamonad and Samsung Omnia.

The Omnia shits on the other two in comparitive specs. 5mp cam on Omnia, 3.2 on Htc diamond and 2mp on I-phone.

Price wise the HTC is the chepast, the Omnia next and I-phone well above either.

Omnia looks like the best buy by far to me.

Mate of mine at work is Mr Gadget man.

He has an iPhone and an iTouch.

"Look at the quality of the pics" he cries. Taken with this?...no uploaded from his Canon 1Ds MkIII (pro body - 268,000THB)

So what the iPhone camera like?.... "Shit" he says

Whats the phone like?.... "Not the best" he says

So why have it if you have the iTouch?

    He has no answer.

Recently he looked at my 6300 THB phone, that's nice, what's it do?

    "Make calls" I replied

    "Coooool"

Waste of money, but he still upgraded when the new one came out.

How much is the Omnia (or whatever it's called)?
