I guess in the same general vein it depends on what the water contains doesn't it? just because water is clear and looks clean doesn't mean it's safe and your completely off the beaten path anyway as one has no nutritional value whatsoever and the other does..it's apples and oranges..but yes...the mcd's is better than nothing which is what water basically is in terms of nutritional value..but I would give 100% fruit juice instead likely a blend with vegetables over cola...

As always you totaly miss the point.

Okay, what do you think is 'better' for your children - A large glass of mineral water or a cheesburger, fries and coke from Mcdonalds?
this is fekking redundant, it's not me that missed the point several times now it's you, several others have understood, i'm not your teflr..the answer IS obvious...

Thank you NR but actually I didn't miss that point.. I was being deliberately dense to egg on Noodles because his question was....well it just was....

exactly!! I cook or at least prepare my boys three fresh, balanced, nutritious meals per day with minimal added salt, sugar and mostly fresh veggies, whole grain breads etc. they get fruit after dinner seldom have anything like ice cream, cakes, chocolate etc.. they do get 100% fruit juice, mixed fruit and veggie drinks or something like V8 only and even those are watered down so they don't get too much of a sugar high with the exception of the V8 of course, very few between meal snacks but when they do it's something like a granola bar, fruit, green pea nuts..

they sit at a table to eat properly and I don't chase them around to feed them like the average Thai mother or grandmother does..

an occasional loosening of the strings for a mcd's is not going to hurt anyone especially not me!! but I still don't do toys for mealtime not at home and not out to dinner most especially..
