suggesting that anything be done differently to the way thais do it is immediately disregarded: it is the WRONG way to do things.
outdated, inefficient equipment and technologies, if traditionally used by them are
seen to be "thai", and nobody will move on unless they believe the new technology to be "thai", or the government tells them to do so.
