Interesting to see how they handle it. My initial thought is they won't even mention it. But, as newsreaders everywhere consider themselves celebrity, they'll probably make a story of it.
This is what I was looking for. It seems to me to be quite hypocritical for them to publicly report awards and achievements of their reporters and such while earning many of them on the backs of stories just such as this and not reporting this.. I haven't seen anything on it from them, has anyone else?? And you know if the governor of anywhere US or anywhere else or miss actress, actor or other public figure that was a trusted member or a role model, they (CNN) would be all over this like a fly on s***..And long before any real charges were leveled too..
Silent but deadly.....
The fact that Dick Quest is a deviant meth snorting Fag is frankly, not all that big news in my opinion.
Watching the embarassment of the media sector (especially CNN) and how they squirm now that they are the subject of the scandal rather than the ones behind the expose' should be fun though.![]()
If CNN International had any integrity, they'd report it (ala NYT).

Is he really that famous? If you showed 100 people his photo, how many do you think would recognize him? Was he a crusader against drugs or homosexuality? If so, then I suppose there is the hypocrisy angle....but from what I see, all we have is a troubled and probably very embarrassed man.....but apparently you want more...'a pound of flesh' as it were. it's not enough that the rest of the media outlets are reporting on it, you want his own employer (which includes his friends and colleagues) to pile on.
Impressive.
Actually, I think he is pretty well known -- for all the wrong reasons.
And yes, CNN should cover it for just that reason. Objectivity is not their (nor your) strong suit.
Well, it is on WorldNetDaily.Originally Posted by raycarey

If Bill OReilly was caught in Central Park with a rope around his crank and meth in his pocket ... should it be reported?
Thought so.
quest? in judgment of others? please cite a single instance of this.Originally Posted by Driventowin
do you even have CNN international? he does puff pieces....he hosts (or more likely hosted) that dopey travel show that aired once a week. i also remember him covering something to do with the british royals...but it was far from 'hard' news.
I don't think i've ever seen him cover real news....but then i'm not obsessed with him like texpat apparently is.
but as i posted earlier, that's the hypocrisy angle...which would be more closely related to news than this.Originally Posted by Texpat
why do you care about this so much?
Wouldn't it look it a bit odd if every news channel reports it, but CNN doesn't?
My guess is that there are more CNN employees sniggering up their sleeves than friends of his dismayed.
is it being covered on BBC world? I haven't turned on the TV today.Originally Posted by Sir Burr
from what i read on this thread by someone who knew him (or knew people who knew him) this is probably true.Originally Posted by Sir Burr
Seen him many times, yes I have CNN Inter. basically all I watch where news is concerned here...
He is a "news reporter" and as such has had numerous business related show topics and even covers and interviewed large numbers of highly respected Business leaders at the international CEO conference every year as well as reporting on many executives who have flounced.
Though that is hardly the point as he has done numerous reports over his career, and no I can't honestly answer your stupid challenge about showing you any of his, God knows how many numbers of reports and all of their content. The point he is in that position when it becomes necessary and it's hypocritical not to treat him in the same light as anyone else they would report on..
he is not really a celebrity, but CNN should still have reported the news, even if lightly covered
He does serious reporting for any of the airline or air crash related stuff for CNN.
It was reported on the CNN website but I haven't seen it on the TV
So hey Ray I guess you think that Max Mosely's sex scandal as head of the FIA/Formula 1 series was just an oversight? Or didn't you hear about that too? The guy was rightly lambasted, I can't believe those self righteous, hypocritical, bastards can fine McLaren 100 million for allegedly stealing Ferrari's secrets but this racist sex fiend is still in office..
But it was very public what he did, the press made sure of it, and most definately CNN and he didn't even have drugs on him..
i remember seeing something about it, but really wasn't interested. btw, i believe there's a wealth of research which indicates that those fascinated by car racing have small penises and/or erectile dysfunction.Originally Posted by Driventowin

Brilliant!! Ouch! mortally wounded.......How many months did it take you to come up with that?? Your a fecking genius.. It takes larger balls than you'll ever have though...Erectile dysfunction?? I'll have to concede your a much bigger hard on than me so you may have something there...
But seriously with spouting horse poo like that as some sort of fact you expect to have any credibility on anything you post??![]()
CNN is reporting that Quest will be hosting a new expose program entitled "Bring out the Gimp."

It is purely an American invention to call a Talking Head a 'power position'.Originally Posted by Driventowin
