it's just here (occaisionally) and ajarn (frequently) CMN, if I couldn't handle it I wouldn't be here - but I find the alternative perspective refreshing as it forces me to challenge my otherwise narrow pov.

What has been buried in this knee jerk response is my point:

Smeg is unpopular because he doesn't kiss ass and has the audacity to confront and oppose. His controversy is such that he has only the power given to him (in outrage) by those he contradicts. And sadly your responses to my post proves rather than disproves this tendency.

When I am being smutty flirtatious you love it, no matter how controversial I am being. When I challenge your pov you throw your hands up in horror and quickly scramble for the holes in my arguement - I'm sorry, did I forget to flutter my eyelashes and shimmy when I posted back there?

He is unpopular (actually, just making people pissed off) because his posts tend to be diatribes against one other poster, that's all. If he stays off that, his posts are OK. NOT because he is a freedom fighter, a man who stands by his priciples against the horde.
