That would have been quite rock n roll if:
a) I'd said 'yes'
b) The bands concerned weren't Herman's Hermits, The Drifters etc at a 60's revival concert & I wasn't at the concert with my Mum.
Roadie was quite fanciable, though. Maybe I should've said 'yes'...![]()

I'm not proud, and thats all you're gonna get.
The day before I became a devotee of Ian Dury I was sat next to him without realising, having blagged my way backstage into the famous Madness comeback gig at Finsbury Park in '92.
I met Carter USM and Woody (the drummer from Madness) and just as Ian Dury and the Blockheads were starting I was rumbled by a security guard and ejected from the compound.
I did however manage to blag my way back in, just in time to catch the second half of Ian's set and later blagged my way to the front in time to see Madness.
This wasn't such a good idea as I was half crushed to death during House Of Fun, Shut Up and Night Boat to Cairo.
"I'm an outsider by choice, but not truly. It's the unpleasantness of the system that keeps me out. I'd rather be in, in a good system. That's where my discontent comes from: being forced to choose to stay outside.
My advice: Just keep movin' straight ahead. Every now and then you find yourself in a different place."

^ Love Madness, but never saw them live. I used to have a crush on Suggs.
I nearly got crushed at a Bon Jovi concert, once. Being at the front does have its drawbacks, as well as its (obvious) benefits.
I saw Jimi Hendrix do "God Save the Queen" at the Isle of Wight Festival in 1970. Of course, there were many other performers, including The Doors....
