have spent?

For me, as I export from here, it is IRO 35Million Baht. Fok!
Interesting question. I've no real idea but I'd guesstimate somewhere in the 10-15m region I suppose?
6m in less than 2 years -- 2m in the next 6 years.![]()
100s of baht
Damn good question now that I think about it. Between business and pleasure must be in the hundreds of millions. Now that you have brought up the subject I will go through some old records and see if I can quantify. Will be good ammo for the government next time I get some silly bugger saying us foreigners contribute nothing to Thai economy.

I think it must be a lot, I still remember the pain when I had to settle a bill in Monet of 35,000 Baht about 14 yrs ago and that was when the Us was 25 to the Baht. Ouch
Must have been one hell of a night. Even for Soi 33, that is a king sized bill.Originally Posted by peterpan

Can't say I've really put any money into the economy here as I've worked for a Thai run company that pay me in Baht. I guess I have consumed money - their money that is (unlike the hordes of immigrants in the UK that have the audacity to send money out of the country - should be banned from doing so)
A couple of million.
I've physically sent out more baht than I ever brought in, but I've stimulated the economy by earning and spending here. dunno if that means I've added to the health of the economy or not, overall.
In your dreams, weiner boy.Originally Posted by The_Ghost_Of_The_Moog
As little as possible. Live cheap, save offshore big. I'm not here to stimulate they Thai economy. They think they're so fokin clever, they can do that themselves.
Tens of millions.
Way more than I should have....
A few millions I guess. Not much.
20,000 baht a month. Western Union haven't done too bad out of me either
I have sent more money out of Thailand than the other way, but then again, I have also invested quite a bit of what I have made here in real estate and shares. Plus I guess our day-to-day expenses have contributed to the economy as well. So I still consider myself a contributor to the local economy.![]()
