All the hotel bathroom door heights in Phnom Penh are modelled on the architecture at Angkor Wat. i.e. 5'6" high. Why can't I remember this even when I get painfully reminded several times a day?

The rooms are mostly high ceilinged so it actually took extra bricks to make the doors so low - weird.

Just been told I have to pay for my lunch for the next year.

Fuck - dilemma time, do I

A) Eat the swill that is lunch and hope that mackerel only appears once a month

B) Take the time and effort to make my own lunch at home and have to pester the office staff to use their microwave everyday.

C) Eat Slimfast shakes.

D) Dont eat..

The Pigs

I want to start using the word pigs for some of the cops here in Thailand. I know its an old word but it fits some of them. After reading the new story about the rental car scam and the guy who went to the police station to report his stolen vehicle only to find it in the hands of a policeman, one thought came to my head- pigs! I know the word 'pigs' is a bit old in the west and isn't really even used nowadays but I do think it it appropriate for Thailand. The police here probably are involved in 30 to 50 % of the crime in one way or another. They disgrace the country and 'others'. Let the word 'Pigs' ring out across the nation whenever a corrupt cop makes news.

The air pollution is terrible right now! They're burning trash! Fckers! But what can I do about it except move or wait and hope that someday Thailand isn't so backwards! I guess I could kidnap the owner of the dump that is burning the crap and make him eat the ashes he produces for a month for a month. nope, he'd probably croak after a few days! Fckers!!!!!

My missus saw a sale at Metro store, they had some shoes i like for 50% off, so we went in, bladdy crowds everywhere, took 25 minutes to get teh staff to help us, picked 2 pairs of shoes that i like (in fact same brand as I have bought before, turns out i was wearing a pair)

So he then tells us that these ones dont include the discount because they are new arrivals?

I proceed to shoe him exactly the same shoes on my feet that wear bought 18 months ago, couldnt possibly be new arrivals,

AAh but my shoes are black, these ones are brown!

Grrrrr,

I refused to buy either pairs !

I have to tidy my apartment.
