    Quick complaints Shoutbox

This is a place for people to complain about something without going into a long winded explanation about it. You can let others know about a bad product or service you experienced here, etc.

    Some stuff I experienced today...

    1. Bought some sausages from a street seller with one of those barbecues on his motorcycle cart. They were only 5 baht each. One had about an inch or more of a plastic bag in it! China has been getting lots of attention lately but I am sure the food in Thailand is just as bad. Be careful you don't eat someone lese's mistake.

    2. Went to Sizzler for lunch last week. They are now using cover versions of English songs as their background music. Chumbawumba's Tubthumpin' was one of the horrible covers. It was a soft slow jazz version sung by a lady. Foook!

    3. Bought some Tesco 'Smoked' Chicken Franks - rip off! They were completely bread. I won't buy Tesco brand meats again.

    4. Old complaint. 7Eleven checkout staff are slow. Why even give them computers! I often wonder what they are doing that takes so long to put a price in the computer.

    5. 13 coins restaurant may have slightly acceptable food but it literally is a rundown dump. The owner has absolutely no sense of what clean is or how to furnish a restaurant.

But is that a good thing or bad thing? You got to where you're going quickly..but had to clean your underwear when you got there. The drivers fault or yours?

Laid up the past couple of days after another prang on sai sam, monkey couldn't wait to overtake and clipped my foot on the way past...but he did turn round to give the regular 'forgive me for I am Thai' smile as he sped off. Hope he kills himself before killing someone else.

G2000 Menswear shop, had a buy 2 get 4 free shirts free promo only if you had a particular credit card. I didn't. So I bought 3 at full price, as I was handing over the money the staff said wait, this women behind you wants one, and she has the credit card, so the staff put both our purchases thru her credit card therefore both of us got the discount!

actually it wasnt a complaint, it was a good thing!

    here's another!

On sunday myself, mrswilly and MtD had a sunday brunch, MtD (the big sissy) chose not to drink any alcohol, despite it being freeflow, however, when the bill came they had already given him the discounted price for no alcohol, despite us not requesting or pointing that out.

    Thoughtful huh?

Today, I just want to say that the government should not give computers to upcountry schools as they will be wasted there.

The best government schools in the Bangkok area can't maintain their computers due to a lack of quality IT people. The pirated software, lack of updated antivirus software and hackers keep the computers constantly wacky. Every time I use one I get a virus. Even the computer I'm on right now has some sort of virus!!!!!

Right you are. In spite of being unpractical, the government will continue to give computers to schools however. Someone is making a lot of money selling them to the gov.

Someone in the government you mean, and possibly not a million miles away from the decision making process.

    Bugger! Bugger! Bugger!

The owners of the land behind my house are selling it. They have gone to the land office to get new Chanot markers put in. From my wife's mangled English, I understand that they have put in some markers where there shouldn't be any markers and have consequently, "nicked" a bit of our land.

The last day to complain is the 16th. If no complaint is received by then, the markers become fact.
This wasn't going to be a problem as I was due to arrive back in Phuket on the 13th. I could check it out and see if there was indeed a problem.

Well, the rubber band has broken on a vital piece of equipment on the ship I'm on and we are heading back to port. Minimum two days stay, so, I can't get back before the 16th.

The missus has many great qualities, but, heading to the Land Office and organizing surveyors to come out, might not be one of them.
She's off to the land office tomorrow as I've told her I won't be back in time.
I just hope she comes through on this.......

All the hotel bathroom door heights in Phnom Penh are modelled on the architecture at Angkor Wat. i.e. 5'6" high. Why can't I remember this even when I get painfully reminded several times a day?

The rooms are mostly high ceilinged so it actually took extra bricks to make the doors so low - weird.

You could also blame the OS. With a decent one these problems would not be.

i just received a police speeding fine from my xmas visit to Australia.

    $138 and 1 demerit point.

apparently it was 108km/hr in a 100km/hr zone.

    Yep.

Not much to complain about today -just the return of the heat. I already miss the rain.
