Now you may keep it or bury it with dignity, but it seems the thought hasn't crossed anyone's mind, except for Jet.
No, what they did was fairly barbarian. Disposing of remains by burning is standard. Would you want an amputated limb given back to you?

If the foetus was given back as it was a human being - their baby (I'm not sure, if it was, but let's give them the benefit of the doubt), wouldn't the civilised thing to do be to take daddy aside and quietly explain to him that their baby's body is available for them to take home & bury if they so wish? Instead of handing it to them in a plastic container with no explanation? The mere fact that KW is posting on here wondering why they did it, is proof that it wasn't explained to his lady nor himself & was distressing for both of them. far more distressing than a quiet word giving them the option would have been.
