Interesting, informative and useful. Enjoyed a bunch of films that I might not have otherwise seen based on recommendations from that thread.

Also learnt more than I ever thought I would or even wanted to about the "Prathet Lao".

Not sure about that. His Vietnam thread was a good yarn and more Asia related. In fact, the Vietnam thread would have won outright, bar the fact he felt the need to delete the video-clip
