I was just wondering - have any of you been with your Thai wife or gf for a while and during your relationship met a farang woman who met those conversational needs only a farang and a select few ultra westernised Thai's can provide?

Yes, there are some days when I feel our outlooks on life are too different and it's difficult to get through to her. Mostly related to superstition and animist beliefs, or the lack of interest in things concerning the outside world that I feel are important to everyone.

In those situations I'm tempted to think it's hard work.

Otherwise no; and when I really think about it I am quite sure the reality of a long-term relationship involving life choices with one of the girlfriends I had back home would have made me a lot more unhappy.

I don't regret at all, just miss sometime the nastyness of a farang chick against the thai one. Farang girls are more open to new things (including backdoor games), more pervert and less jealous. IMO.

But thai chicks have softer skin and cook tom yam much better.

Joke apart, I had a lot of farang girlfriends when I stayed in Switzerland, but apart in the bed they are pain in the ass. Now happily married for 10 years with an asian chick and I will not change.
Most of my friends there who had married the so called local stars are now divorced and the so called stars are no more very attractive.

And it's so easy to have a change for ST here without nobody knows.

Why do at least half of Western women need to verbalize every single thought/feeling that goes through their heads? I like Western women, they are often engaging and articulate, but I don't think they realise how annoying this is, despite not liking when their female friends go on and on (and that's why they "prefer men as friends"

Totally agree there. Actually the last western woman I was with was around 1999, a United Airlines Hostie- nice enough. But she drove me up the wall with her constant psychobabble, and wanting to know what I was thinking and so on.

It did not last long, at all.

Isn't this more of an American thing - in my limited experience, European chicks are less likely to suffer from this malady?
