    Well finally I am online - have actually been since 10am.

    Had to pay an extra 1,200 to get the room line released or something and spent an hour on the phone getting step by step instructions in broken English how to connect to an Apple but we got there in the end.

    No more shitty internet cafe's for me - come to think of it is there anyone else who doesn't post on here from the comfort of their own home?

    Honestly, i never had much of a problem with True in Bangkok. My download speeds were pretty much what i was paying for. Compare that to IPstar which i'm on now.
    Downloads are about 10k/s when they should be 100 odd. It was working good when they installed it one month ago but not anymore. I'll call them when i can be arsed (sober).

    It would probably have involved the Thai maintenance guy at your building walking to a switch board and flipping a switch, part of his normal job which he is already being paid for.
