Lonely Planet- the backpackers bible. Started by a 'new Australian' couple from England. HQ'd in Melbourne, although recently bought by the BBC. This company basically made the Budget travel market mainstream.

Blundstone boots, from Tassie.
Surf wear- Boomerang, Mambo, Quiksilver and so on.

Outdoor living as a way of life- barbies, fishing, surfing, the beach, a day at the footie, camping, outdoor concerts and so on.
