Typhoo Tea has filed a notice of intention to appoint administratorsTyphoo Tea, a brand which was established at the dawn of the 20th century, has filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators.
The business can trace its roots back to 1903 when British grocer John Sumner first developed and sold a blend of tea in his shop.

Typhoo has filed the notice to provide "breathing space to explore solutions", Typhoo's chief executive Dave McNulty told the BBC.
Accountancy firm EY has been lined up to handle the process.
Down the years, Typhoo's ads have starred a range of celebrities including Frankie Howard, Su Pollard, Cilla Black, Ben Fogle and Nigella Lawson!
