I've watched a few vids of Tread the Globe during covid lockdown, when they were in Turkey. I think I saw 2 of their vids lately when they changed countries: one in Japan & another in Korea.

Aside from visa & permit issues, one main problem of theirs is that their van is a right hand drive, since it's from the UK. Many countries don't allow RHD vehicles. That's what they said in a previous vlog, so they're limited in the countries they can go to. They've been to Japan, Korea, Malaysia & now TH.

I peeped in their latest vid and saw from the comments that they've met up with Paddy Doyle - hmm, interesting.

@MM - also from the comments, a person said that they can't get a visa to China bcos to do that, one must apply from their home country. Also, (accdg to comment) China frowns on it if one has a Turkish stamp on their passport (the couple spent a long time in Turkey). It's politics - some Muslim countries won't let you in if you have an Israeli stamp on passport.

As for DJPat/ BKK Pat, he's an OK presenter but as MM said, I also find his topics uninteresting. I prefer it when ppl are going from Pt A to Pt B.

Edit: I've watched the latest vid of Tread the Globe & saw in the comments that the reason for China frowning on ppl who've been to Turkey is because of the Uyghur situation. Many Uyghurs have relatives in Turkey/ sought asylum in Turkey and the Chinese are suspicious of anyone who is trying to enter China & has been to Turkey. The UK vlogger couple's Chinese visa application was denied probably due to their long stay in Turkey.
