We've just worked out that I have lived in, travelled to or worked in 65 different countries.
And I can't think of a general observation about any of these countries that annoys me.
At a push, maybe Thailand and Thais.
Wow, that is a lot of countries. I haven't counted.. how many have you worked in Hal?
I've taught in seven.

There are many Arabs here where I work (from mid east countries) ,and they annoy me sometimes as they act entitled and can be rude and also dirty!
The kids are very dirty and just shoot their garbage all over.
They don't say 'takk' either.
This is exactly my experience of working in Norwegian offices as well. In general I find the Norwegians to be nice, but you just don't expect a door to be held open. Any time I hold open a door, I am thanked in English. At first I thought it was my classic English good looks giving me away, but no, my English colleagues find the same.
The Norwegians never clean their skidmarks from the toilet bowl either.
^ Toilet manners, not something I want to delve into too much. Actually, German public toilets are very clean and well maintained, best I've seen in Europe.
The Meds are not so good with toilets, they seem to prefer using paper towels rather than loo roll and have a hard time remembering to flush afterwards.
Brings me on to toilet paper. Why isn't Andrex sold in Europe? It is the only decent loo paper and I always have to bring it back with me. I know many Brits who have it on top of the list of items required before going to Europe. Hell, I'm sure we have better bog paper in NE Thailand than many Europeans.
Yes, I was taught to do that as a kid by my parents. Stopped doing it early in my time living in New York. Coming out of the subway system at rush hour, I looked round and saw a 'lady' a few steps behind me. I stopped and held the door open for her so that the door wouldn't close on her. She bellowed. "What's your fucking problem. You don't think I can do that for myself!".
Here in Thailand, I often get funny looks as I will always give way to the female of the species when entering/exiting rooms or buildings. Mind you on reflection I often get funny looks
