I spent about a week there some 40 years ago it was a nice place, the bataks were cool, can't recall doing anything other than eating, drinking and shagging this fully tattooed Sheila from the mentawai Islands. Would love a return visit to see what's new. Back then it involved a long bus ride from median to get there

I went in 2015. The trip there was on an old bus that took about five hours. The trip back was in a minibus that was uncomfortable af and took four hours to Medan.

I guess now there is a flash new(ish) airport in Medan. Maybe better connections to Lake Toba nowadays.
