Plus Stumps, I wasn't calling BS on the whole thing. I believe you raced. Maybe you rounded down your 1/4 mile time a bit. Don't take it so literally. 10's in the 70'/ early 80's was pretty damn quick

72 model was the most powerful oneThe Kawasaki H2 Mach IV was a 750 cc 3-cylindertwo-stroke production motorcycle manufactured by Kawasaki. The H2 was a Kawasaki triple sold from September 1971 through 1975.
A standard, factory produced H2 was able to travel a quarter mile from a standing start in 12.0 seconds
Looks good
It was a very fast moto right out of the crate. I bought mine from a guy who had tuned it up, changed the sprockets. I shed the big exhaust and added light weight chambers increasing the HP significantly. IIRC my best time was mid to high 10's and that was with street tires which were scary old bias ply type tires.
Had me ol 650 fitted out with a genuine Leo Vince full system (baffle removed), fuel controller and K&N years ago, just took her out for lunch, and by gum, taking her up to 180 in 5th, then getting off the throttle produces noise last heard over London in the 1940s.
I have a full Tyga exhaust system for my RVF 400 RR that is still in the box. I really need spend a day and install it. I have the jet kit as well but need to find a place with a dyno so I can do it up right. I have been distracted a bit as I am a looking at a CF625 4x4 EPS ATV to go mess around in the mountains here when I retire. Wife shakes her head and rolls her eyes but bet she will be the first one riding it to market.....
Talking of exhausts reminds me of a friend back in the 70's who had a CB550 with a custom exhaust made from a wave-guide from a scrapped aircraft radar system. It's such a shame we didn't have mobiles in those days to take happy snappies. It was a short single exhaust that ran flat rather than the original custom twin exhausts and sound absolutely fantastic. The CB550 was a great bike for customising into a cafe racer.
In those days many seemed to want noisy exhausts (remember the dunstall exhaust systems) and wondered why they kept being pulled over by the police, especially coming back from the pubs at night. I always preferred to keep the standard exhaust system on road bikes, usually the quietest option and you go by unnoticed at ridiculous speeds. Sometimes wonder how I survived that era.

^Verry retro indeed. I like the grey one with the windscreen
^^ It looks like a smaller version of the CB500T from the 70's. I always preferred the CB550 styling.
Seems that Honda also has a 500cc 1 cylinder version of this one in the planning as well as a 750 2 cylinder. All under "GB" banner
Found an old folder from around 2006. Before Kawa started the trend of legally selling big bikes with their 650 range.
Me first bike in Thailand. A Yamma TZM 150 2-stroker.
Is that a Nokia 3110 in your pocket or are you just happy to see me.
Pre-retirement/slave to the wage mode as an active partner in Melbourne based (and now defunct) overseas investment firm Reality Dreams.
Unfortunately I'm now unable to retire or even visit Australia. :/
Power Valve would hit at 8500rpm and all 17kg of it would be shot up to 200kph. Gotta love those 2-smokers.
An investment officer from Thanachart that I was.... ummm... 2-stroking for a while.
Also unable to visit Australia so I hope she didn't marry an Ocker.
The Yammy ended up with Australian TD poster Shagger's Back, whom the last time I met had been involved in a nasty prang and was confined to riding one of those Honda... not ATV.... one of those multi purpose scooter/bike combo things that they brought out maybe 6-7 years ago.
PS. I apologize for actually being 5 foot 10. Some posters may find it difficult to deal with.
^^Classic Pratunam Cravat there.
Guilty.
The matching cufflinks and tie pin must have been left on the dresser table that day.
I actually remember stopping off at KFC there one day, in ..... Indra Mall? ... never, ever, ever again. Tables packed with Indians throwing the chicken bones on the floor, screaming, stinking. Give me the Chinks that just take up all the good seats by sleeping on them (and possibly spread infectious diseases), anyday.
