I bet theres at least some people who voted "yes" in the poll that would refuse and/or be pissed if their employer mandated they had to take the chink vaccine or lose their job and be alienated from society.

If the Chinese vaccine is all that is available, you take it - wish we had ANY vaccine here.

Yup - and no amount of roving reporting by harriet is going to change that truth.

I think this vaccination question pertains to Covid 19 and not all vaccines in general.
How is that an unacceptable precedent ? or did I misunderstood your reply?
Would the precedent be that in the event of a disease that can paralyze a business, such business would have the right to require it's workers to be vaccinated against that disease ? And if it does would it be a bad thing?
I understand about the right of a person to refuse vaccination, but how about the rights of the business . If a business can demonstrate that a vaccination is nessacery of its legally binding business model, then such business should have the right to require such vaccination as terms of employment.
The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.

Putting peoples livelihoods in jeopardy is in fact controlling a large part of peoples lives. Its disingenuous to downplay the significance, especially when so many people have already been fucked over due to lockdowns.

Its just too early to be mandating shots for people.

..nonsense: a typical tRump argument for facts you don't like...update your medieval notions of science by, as suggested, checking with the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health...or you could trust in Jesus and your own home-grown, back-of-the-fridge petri dish of bubbling theories...

Its not "nonsense" at all. This whole-ass time "scientists" have been flip-flopping on just about every point along the way.

I have no doubt that the vaccinations (at least the top 2-3) are safe, according to the data we have now, but nobody knows what it may/may not do 10 years from now or 20 years from now and questioning this is not illogical or stupid.

Understanding of the science has simply been refined.

    That's how it works.

Politicians and religious zealots have taken that science and emphasised one side of things over another, or sometimes just babbled incoherent loony toons.

That's what politicians and religious zealots do.

    Use of quotation marks noted.

    That lets in the quacks.

    Potential goalpost move in progress.

    Also - no specifics.

Bullshit. They have been giving advisories based on what is known at the time and then refining, revising or updating it when more information / data becomes available.

    That's how science works.

Well, that is the most idiotic thing I have read today, but not surprising coming from a Fox News watching trumpanzee. The science has been consistent since day one, from where I am sitting. What was confusing was all the denial and misinformation coming from right wing media that is still ongoing today, and that is made apparent by your post.

My reply was about vaccines in general and not specific to the covid vaccination.

Equal access to all would be a mandatory requirement before enforcing employment regulations. Currently that equal access does not exist everywhere.

Thats complete horseshit. Only thing consistent is that "the science" has been inconsistent. Masks, quarantine, models, who spreads and who doesn't, what venues spread and which ones dont. The USA at least has been one of the worst for complete bullshit "science"

You wear 2 masks dont ya, bShit.

The science is fine--and what's with the peculiar use of quotes--clearly the issue lies with your inability to understand.

Obviously if someone could demonstrate that he/she is unvaccinated because he/she wanted to but the required vaccine was not available , accommodations for such person must be made.

    On and on and on.

This was all guided by "the scientists" that some of you guys worship so highly.

It was guided by what they knew at the time which was fuck all.
Obviously as time went on they learned more recommendations changed accordingly.
    Pretty simple really.
    Remember it was all new.

Im not so willing to write-off all the inexcusable behavior by some of "the scientists" guiding policy in the USA.

    That's completely unworkable.

Of course requiring employees to be vaccinated would be completely unfair in countries like Thailand where availability is limited.

Pretty sure that the OP had in mind countries where effective vaccines are freely available only.

The pole was limited in it's options. If there was a response (D) such as 'those people who are in close proximity to those infected should be compulsory vaccinated and everyone else it's optional. It's 'yes' from me.

I got no problem with other people taking an experimental vaccine that was rushed to market. If it makes you feel safer that's fine. So why would you poo poo folks that don't want it? If your safe with the vaccine doing it's job you have nothing to worry about.

That's not to say I wouldn't consider a vaccine it in the future if it has a good track record but for Sinocrap and AZ...no thanks.

Strap them to a chair and shove that needle in. I don't give a rats ass about the anti vaxxers or what happens to them, but until our children are vaccinated the anti vaxxers will be carrying that shit around and spreading it to our children.

Newsflash: You can still carry around and spread covid even though people have been vaccinated. Some of the vaccinations more so than others, but true for all of them.

AstraZeneca is just fine. A very good vaccine. Even for young women, though I would recommend an alternative for those, if available.
