Just been informed that they are shortening the time between astra doses from an original 16 weeks, to 12 weeks.

No link yet, just what I was told.

Some time between end of october to end of 2021. And that is the optimistic schedule. You know who will get access to them first..

    UK Policy:

You will receive 2 injections. You will be told when you need to return for your second injection of COVID-19 Vaccine AstraZeneca.

The second injection can be given between 4 and 12 weeks after the first injection.

I got the AZ jab in Bangkok on the 25th of June. While doing the 30 minute wait after the shot I got the SMS from the THAIRUAMJAI app stating that my next appointment was booked for the 17th of September, 12 weeks after the first jab.

The 16 week scenario was never enacted, it was part of a proposal that also saw the number of doses per vial increased from 10 to 12, so the official status remains a 12 week dosage gap. That said, there was a proposal based on recommendations to further reduce the gap to 8 weeks, though nothing further on this yet, which could be due to the AZ production problems and needing to meet the current schedule let alone shorten it.

Well, all my staff that went through work got a 16 week second appointment, and there have just been formal announcements that it is shortened to 12 weeks in line with gov policy.

    As always, YMMV.
