Got the Pfizer last friday.
As soon as I became eligible last week I registered with Florida republican run covid vaccination website, they told me that as soon as a dose became available it the zip code I provided I would be contacted and we can arrange an appointment. I still have not herd anything yet.
In the news I heard that Biden had set up a federally operated vaccination site in Jacksonville stuffed by the US National guard. I called and was told I did not need an appointment, anf to come anytime between 7am and 7 pm. Next day I got up and i was there 7:30 am
The whole operation was streamlined and very professional , there was a very long tent, with different color lines that took you to a preregistration,a quick examination, you were asked for a choice of Pfizer or J&J,
I chose Pfizer.
Very nice American boys and girls in Uniform , that seemed to enjoy what they were doing , joking and smiling, with different color paddles om their hands, directed everyone where they need to be , I have to say, It was actually a pleasant experience.
The whole process took 30 to 45 minutes, I did not time it, and 15 minutes of that was simply waiting there to see if anyone had a reaction.
None of the people i was with did.
The vaccination it's self was painless. I hardly knew it was done. Five hours later my arm was sore in the are of the vaccination, but I went to sleep that night and when I woke up I could hardly tell where I was vaccinated.
If you are in the States , and you have an option of a state run site or a federally run site, i suggest you go to the federal site.
