I said that "I am an Atheist, but if there is to be a Catholics Church, then I am glad that Pope Francis is it's leader. " do any of as think the Catholic church is going away any time soon??? if not then Pope Francis is is better than anyone else before. PERIOD..... if any of you can think of any Pope in the past that was better and would rather that he lead the church instead, please share. I am not beyond learning something new.
What makes this particular paedophile apologist different exactly?

    There isn't.
Seems to be the fashion to jump on the bandwagon, as this Pope is falsely being anointed as an open minded progressive [largely BS]
Even some proclaimed atheists might join in and distantly fawn over this charlatan....with a slight apologist bent.
Might be reflective of what they truly are.

Because he is none of what you say, Why would you call him a pedophile apologist?
IMO he is trying to manage , and resolve conditions that he inherited, with in the constrains of the church. He said about gays"Homosexual people have the right to be in a family. They are children of God and have a right to a family. Nobody should be thrown out or be made miserable over it. What we have to have is a civil union law—that way they are legally covered. I supported that.”" He is an obviously moral, and caring person .
By the way, have you seen the Netflix movie "The Two Popes"?
The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.
