Sae was the name of one of the very last of King Rama V’s Royal Concubines. She was a daughter of one of the noble officers with a high rank (Chao Praya … - Bunnag clan).
Her mother who was one of her father’s concubines was born from a tribe called Lao Song (related story on page 41/1025) which had a reputation of possessing beauty and this gene had passed on to her.
At a proper age, she was brought to live her life in Dusit Palace (related stories on pages 18/446 and 17/406) and stayed with her half-sisters, all of whom were the King’s Royal Concubines. Everyone around her predicted that one day, she would be his as well.

(Something like this)
…, the King happened to pass by and was stunned by the beautiful look. He changed his original course and dropped by the residence that was owned by Sae’s half-sisters or his wives and proposed to Sae.
So, Sae had become Chao Chom (= Royal Concubine) Sae, like her half-sisters. Because of being one of the King's very last, she had worked for him only for a short period of time before he died. Then, she resigned from her duty and moved away to live outside the Palace.
Chao Chom Sae died in 1978 (Born in 1892)
