Cybill being a coonty again. Eliminator is a long time poster. I wish him the best. Fook of cybill.... nasty fucko you are
Whats funny is a load of Mercans taking a pop at Elim as if riding around on an agricultural pump strapped to two wheels that makes more noise than momentum is some thing to shout about. Harleys
False economy.... many stories of these companies refusing to pay up, or increasing your premiums after a claim to price you out of their cover. Go with an expat policy that is regulated by UK/EU rules. They can't individually price you out, they can't refuse to renew cover, and there is an ombudsman to complain to if they try to play silly buggers. Those Thai health insurance premiums are looking downright cheap compared to what one pays in the USA
Groping women when you're old is fine - everyone thinks you're senile
Fuck off, I moved to help my FAMILY, long lost the times of fuckin around. You are only here to have FUN. I have more responsibility to my family and am SO GLAD I"M GONE.
^^
Fair call that mate and a very good choice.
Thing is you should of bolted out of this shit house soon as ya bint poped the sprog out.
Thailand is no place to be raising a kid thats for fookin sure.
Not unless one wants their kid to be influenced by the thai's retarded way of seeing things.
Fook that.
^ There are such things as International Schools Tel, where kids can get a decent education.
How much were your school fees btw?
Y'know, I spent 12-13 years each in Sydney, HK & Thailand. Then moved on. Happily- happy I went there, but happy to move on to the next chapter. Don't really have an urge to go back- "been there, done that".
Seems to me the problem is if you're stuck in one place for whatever reason, but would prefer to be elsewhere. Which seems to me the majority of the world. If you've got your own self determination, you're one of the lucky ones.
No reason why not. They are 'expat' policies. Companies such as BUPA, Cigna, Davidshield, Now Health all offer policies where you are insured for life, regardless of your claim history. Your annual premiums WILL rise as you age, but that increase applies to everyone in the same age band.Do all of those things apply if you live for an extended time (say, ooh, about 40 years ) in places like Laos and Thailand?
Cheers Simon.
This comparison site for insurance in Thailand might be of interest.

Seems I left at the right tome as it's all going to shit in so many ways now in Thailand. I hope you guys safe and well. The only good thing I can see is the the US dollar and the UK pound is getting better.
Looks like the usual departee's triumphalism.
Hopefully Topper won't go the same way.
It's best for you. It sounds like you were now well adjusted to life in Thailand and were fighting the Thai way of life. Many of us are happy here but aren't represented on the forum. Adjusting to life in Hawaii may be difficult in the long run though. Living in a Hawaiian neighborhood could be a eyeopener, as they are not keen on outsiders. Best to pick a non-hawaiian area.
Losers always wank on when they leave Los Eh.
Of course it is ,it's only the losers who wank on eh.
It was more about all the pollution, virus and drought that is happening right now in Thailand. It is better I'm back because I'm getting better medical care here through VA and it's free. I'm having a few health issues right now and this will help me to get better.
For all you guys that still love it there, I'm happy for you and hope you don't have any problems in your lives there.

^ There was no virus until after you'd left. And there has always been droughts and monsoons.
Anyway do us a piccy thread on Hawaii
Well, interesting comments in this thread.
The fact of the matter is though, we are here by choice. No ones got a gun held to their head. Expat life ain’t for everyone, takes a different type to handle all the “problems” that come with living in a foreign land. Even more problems when the language must be transliterated.
I’m here cause this is the wife’s preference. The “con” column of Thailand includes immigration hassles, pollution, weather and culture. The “pro” column includes cost-of-living, weather and culture. Happily married so the women factor isn’t of consideration – however, when I was here single and in my late 30’s the women were a most definite number one in the “pro” column.
All that being said though. It does take a certain type of adventuresome personality to leave the comfort of your known home country and attempt to live in a foreign culture.
As time goes by the novelty quickly wears off and if you cannot “tolerate” the significant differences in culture and the way “they” do things, well, you are doomed to madness. Folks change, situations change, perceptions change and, when the time comes – repatriate. You do what is best for you and your family. Your children come first and a prime consideration is education – you must prepare them for the future and arm them with the best education available to them.
Expatriation reasons; adventure, occupation, economic, opportunity
Repatriation reasons; family, medical, occupation, economic, boredom
Everyone is different and to each their own – add to the list as you see fit.
One final comment though – be grateful that you are in that enviable position and are able to Expat – you were born in the right country and have adequate financial means to actually afford to move to and live in a foreign country. Twenty-five years ago when I visited the US Embassy there was a line stretching round the block of Thai’s applying for visa’s to visit the USA, knowing full well that their chances of actually receiving permission to visit were slim at best – prisoners of their own birthright.
I would stick culture and weather in the cons column tbh.
The weather in Thailand is for me at its best in only December and January. The rest of the year its either too hot and humid or rainy season, although the rain doesn't come down for long.
My home Country still can't match that Weather but there are a lot that can.
Lets face it, most of us, especially the teflers were all firstly over there for the hoes or ladyblokes, not the temples or culture or spicy food.
Exactly and good health too.
Most of the sourpusses who go home and come on here and slate Thailand will be missing one of the 2.
