Aside from it being very fractious on TD today with the angry mob of Snub, Syb and TC i have decide life if too short to deny myself the pleasure of caffeine hits and so in a nod to mincers i am mixing full fat coffee and hot chocolate just to take the edge off and ensure i don't get banned.

    Which "fat" did you use?

Popped into Sainsburys last week and scanned my "Nectar" card as per at the checkout. As usual it coughed out an array of vouchers, one of which was £5 off £20 if you "Scan and go". This obviously with a nod to phasing out checkouts, you are to grab a scanner, scan as you go round placing your items in the basket and then for the first time you do this you get £5 off.

Not working today i decided to give it a go and get me fiver. Well the scanner didn't work, nor did the second i tried. The shop assistant then proceeded to helpfully do my entire scan and go shop and meet me at the checkout and present me with my bagged shopping and £5 off.

Happy days, get to Sainsburys Hal, it'll change your day

If you have the member account for BA or one of the members you can link them through Avios.

gave my Morphy Fastbake a whirl today and aside from the bread being a little too sweet for my liking its turned out a very acceptable 1 1/2lb wholewheat loaf.

You can use your phone instead of picking up a scanner.

You just need to download their Smartshop app.

You can even type out a shopping list at home on the app so you don't forget nothing.

Lulu, when one enters the golden years you know not to eat or drink for 3 hours before you go out, and never leave until you've got rid of last nights Wiltshire Farm Foods cod in parsley sauce with mash and peas.

Today i didn't go out so was really relaxed about being able to get to the bathroom in time. Instead i have stayed in and put together the 4 meters of bookcases that have been staring at me every time i pop into the spare room to see if i can catch Gloria stepping into her undies in the bedroom across the way in the morning, and before anyone thinks that is perverted, she's not 15, you can swap the numbers around.

Knocked 2 wood pigeons out of the sky in my lorry this morning

Then saw a sole magpie and wondered if I was in for some bad luck.

Got home, still no speeding ticket in the post from the mobile police van I went past at about 36mph last week...Then won 200 quid this afternoon at Royal Ascot.

I also had wins after squashing a waddling duck I thought would get a shift on crossing the road when he saw me the other week and a deer that ran in front of my car down the country lanes and bounced about 10 feet over the road. Although I think he may have been OK.

Gonna start looking out for these lucky critters in future.

    Hmmm deer curry!

I would have been tempted to get my machete out of the boot and chop it up for the freezer

I used to collect rabbit roadkill to feed to my ferrets, but if it was fresh there was always the temptation to make up a pie for the humans...

I once cooked up a fine jugged hare we found on the side of the road one night. The skin and ears are still at my mum's house.
