    OK, Boomer-millenial-dates-6-png

This is a more up to date chart of the generations which has been out since 2013.

I am talking more about the Generation Z and how they seem more in trouble than Boomers. And I am Gen X, so I am not bashing Gen Z, as I said I feel sorry for them, but to the point where a lot of tough love is needed. It started in my day where the government cut off giving grants for financial assistance for going to university, but now they don't give grants, only loans. Many students coming out of university with huge debts on their heads, many defaulting because they are unrealistic for many to pay off.

The whole unmotivated thing, I believe comes down to the thing with lack of jobs once coming out of uni. I know many people (myself included) that came out with a BA, but there was no jobs with just a basic BA. Many had to go back, specialize in something and add more debt to that.

Then the kids today, well I think are depressed. My challenge is to inspire them to find themselves, and that school is needed (basic high school), just for a minimum wage job. I work in a urban school where many of the parents are poor. I think this impacts their attitude.. but the social media thing is more of a terror at times at times with many kids having committed suicide over bullying.

I would not want to be born today, and when I feel sorry, I don't mean it as a high and totty baby boomer, I seriously try to help this generation look forward.

I work with kids and many have lost social skills because all they do is communicate on their phones. I know many teenagers that aren't even motivated to finish school, or are depressed about what people say or don't say about them on fb. It is quite sad and scary as to who will end up being the leaders of the future!!
BTW Marilyn. Phones are the Godwins Law of Boomer vs millennial arguments. The moment phones are brought into the argument, the Boomer loses.

And what I think of baby boomers, well many of them are doing well, probably looking after aging parents or aging themselves. I am close to many of my uncles and aunts who are all baby boomers and they are the closest thing to my heart. I think a lot of them had a tough upbringing, but managed to do well.

She says that millennials already have everything and money isn't a problem. (lol)

Well then.. That's a strange thing to say when more millennials are living in poverty than any generation, in their peak earning years ! How's this possible ? It's possible when your median wages have gone up 0.00% while every other generation before, was up multiple percentiles.

Yes thats zero percent. boomers had a 15% inflation adjusted increase. I've worked in the oilfield in 2010 with Boomers who said they started at $25 an hour in the 1980's. Yet we were starting guys at $25 in 2010.

Houses were $40,000 in the 80's, $400,000 now. And the Boomers are going around saying how easy the millennials have it. Yes its so great cashing out Boomers housing bubble winnings by signing a 30 year mortgage. But hey, youre fuct if you rent and fuct if you buy

He's not, it's just a common meme format used all over the web.
Like the lady and the cat...

I doubt namby pamby millenials & Xers got the gristle to organise themselves, and do something to address the appalling wealth disparity in our societies today. But not to worry- the Meek shall surely inherit the earth.
After the Strong are done with it. So carry on debating how many genders there actually are.

Sooooo...it’s their responsibility to find the solution to an issue that earlier generations caused or those same
generations will accuse them of being feckless...?

well if they dont find a solution then who will.

one must adapt to the environment and the conditions one finds oneself living in.

no use moping, crying, whingeing, blaming, feeling victimised or any of that other shite that lefties and the young love to shout about.

    man up or fuck off.

Mind you, the loonies make the most noise, and as usual the moderates are drowned out- &/or castigated. But vegans, Peta, weird transpangenderists- they pose no threat, thus get plenty of airtime. Nothing sells like a bunch of vegan activists clogging up a CBD during rush hour. Keeps your mind off the real issues.

You used to be a great poster and a mod that I actually respected here what happened to you? You served in the Navy as an officer IIRC.

Take up arms? There are little options left at this point as the oligarchs have tightened the stranglehold they have always had. The recent elections in the UK are clear testimony of the power disinformation has on the old boomer generation. They in the UK like the US vote on nostalgia and could give two fucks to the legacy they are leaving behind for the rest of us.

    Hurry up and die already.

^^ A clear statement of Hopelessness snubbles. The Suffragettes's, organised Labour and Civil Rights movement must be proud. The Red shirts are in awe of your fortitude, and sacrifice.
But never mind, we're all gonna die anyway. So lets moan, argue over how many genders there are, and read Sartre and Camus instead. Organising yourselves and taking action stinks.
It's all the media's fault anyway, and you can't fight that. People power, phooey. Money is power, so it's a good thing I stand to inherit from my ok Boomer parents.

Yeah sign of weakness treating women as equals and not simply chattels innit.

Real men, non-pussy tough guys, dish their wimmin folk random beatings to keep them on their toes.

    OK Boomer.

If someone needs to fix it then why not your generation since you're largely responsible for fucking everything up.

All this 'man up' and 'fix it' and 'entitlement' shit is laughable coming from those who had every advantage without having to do anything for it, created the mess, and are now whining that youth saddled with the onus of their avarice aren't doing anything about it to their satisfaction. Plus of course anything that they do attempt to do is shot down by the same group of cantankerous old fools yelling at people to get of their lawns.

The privileged and entitled yelling at others to clean their mess isn't manning up or tough, it's pathetic and weak.
