MIDNIGHT TONIGHT is the deadline for PPI Claims

If you haven't done it, and you think you *might* have been involved, you must submit your claim by midnight UK time or lose your claim forever.

It's not difficult. I just followed the links on my banks website and said I had no supporting documentation.

The onus is on them to find out.

Lloyds put a nice seven grand in my account and that was that.

Minimal effort required, and they have to respond to you within two weeks or something.

They send a letter for each claim, a form to fill in, but if you don't know anything, just say so, and post it back.

There is even a Which? thingy here if that helps.

I suspect if they don't have detailed records and they even *think* you might have a claim, they'll give you seven grand to close the case.

The penalties on them for failing to perform due diligence are quite significant I believe.

I tried to fill out a claim form with the Cooperative Bank. It wouldn't accept my Thai address even though it's my contact address. And it also wouldn't accept a Thai phone contact number which is on file. So I filled in a customer survey stating that I wanted to lodge a claim but wasn't allowed. Waiting to see what happens. Always fcuking me.

I put in several claims using an agent in the UK. I recall the names of the lending companies who fcuked me over....

After investigation by the agent, I received copies of correspondence from these lenders which stated that they had no record of ever lending money to me.

    Bastard cnuts!

If you think they haven't done due diligence, an/or you have any paperwork to prove they are lying, you can always contact the Financial Ombudsman.
