    Military tried to reduce their numbers, but couldn't make much of a dent given the huge number of birds over such a large area. They weren't actually at war, it was just called the "emu war," the birds didn't have guns or anything.

    Well worth a visit if in London (with or without a kid)

    They used the lunar module (Snoopy) in the pic instead of the command module (Charlie Brown). The Apollo 10 mission had a Peanuts thing going on.

    The Science Museum in London has a replica of Sputnik. The kids were honest enough to say it looks like a piece of junk. Made it to first, though.
