Here’s my soap making ingredients.
Rice bran oil, palm oil, castor oil, lye, coloring, and fragrance.
Katy, “soap” like Safeguard is not natural soap. It is a detergent bar with sodium laureate added to make bubbles. Whether your home made soap makes good bubbles or not depends on the oil or oils you use and whether you chose to add sodium laureate to the mix.
I find coconut oil makes the best bubbles and hardest soap but that stuff has become too expensive to make into soap. From what I understand, coconut oil there in the Phils is still cheap so good for soap making.
^ Nope. The lye in the freshly poured soap eats a lot of moulds and sticks to others. I use stainless steel moulds and cut my soap. Not fancy shapes. Solly.
What Mrs. Dill is doing is a bit different. She is working with glycerin which is mild and won't ruin her moulds.
